Home Solar Systems with Battery Storage
Tailored design for houses and apartment buildings: generation, self-consumption, batteries, heat pumps and long-term technical support.
A home system must be sized around the household
The correct capacity depends on annual consumption, usage times, available surface, orientation, shading and possible future loads such as a heat pump, air conditioning or an electric vehicle. FDGL analyses these factors before selecting modules, inverter and battery.
Photovoltaic generation
Yield estimated from site data, roof geometry and components selected for reliability and performance.
Battery storage
Capacity based on evening and night consumption, avoiding oversizing that delays financial payback.
Integrated energy system
Coordinated assessment of solar, heat pump, EV charging and intelligent load management.
What we assess during the study
- Annual consumption and available bills
- Daily distribution of electricity demand
- Roof surface, orientation and pitch
- Shading from buildings, trees and chimneys
- Technical space for inverter and battery
- Backup requirements during grid outages

Storage works when it is correctly sized
A battery can increase self-consumption by shifting part of the solar energy to evening hours. It is not automatically cost-effective in every home: surplus energy, load profile, usable capacity, efficiency, cycles, warranty and total cost must all be assessed.
Which system does your home really need?
Send us an energy bill, the property address and a roof photograph. FDGL will assess production, self-consumption, system size and suitable storage.
Frequently asked questions
How is a home photovoltaic system sized?
Annual consumption, usage times, roof area and orientation, shading and expected new loads are analysed. Available roof area alone is not enough.
Is a battery always cost-effective?
No. It is useful when enough surplus energy is available and deferred consumption is compatible. It must match the household’s real profile.
Does FDGL also manage the paperwork?
Yes. FDGL supports the customer from engineering and permits through commissioning and after-sales technical support.
